Merritt Legal Consultants FZ LLC advises individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses on their legal needs in the United Arab Emirates.

We assist with commercial contracts and negotiations, company incorporation and corporate governance, real estate, employment law, wills and succession planning.

Our approach is straightforward: understand your circumstances, explain the available options and assist you through the next steps. We work in English, French and Italian.

Merritt Legal Consultants is part of a network of independent firms offering clients a single point of contact for legal advice, corporate services, accounting and audit. For litigation matters, we work with local law firms authorised to represent clients before the UAE courts.

Italian-qualified Lawyer | Legal Consultant

Josephine D’Angelo holds law degrees from France and Italy and has been a member of the Rome Bar since 2001. She has more than twenty years of legal experience in Europe and the Gulf countries, including Qatar and the UAE, where she has practised since 2013. Her background combines local knowledge with experience in international matters, taking into account personal and commercial considerations and differences between legal systems.

She assists entrepreneurs and businesses in negotiating and protecting their interests through commercial contracts, international transactions, partnerships, company incorporation and structuring, corporate governance and employment matters. She also advises clients on their real estate projects.

Wills and succession planning form an important part of her practice. She assists expatriates and families with drafting and registering their wills. She has been registered as a wills draftsman with the DIFC Wills and Probate Registry since 2016.

Where court proceedings are required in the UAE, she works with local law firms authorised to represent clients before the courts.

She personally follows each matter and responds promptly to her clients’ enquiries.

She works in English, French and Italian.
